This past weekend the MacArthur/Bellevue Community had the great opportunity of hosting our friends from “Richmond Animal Care & Control” & “Richmond Police Department”. These are two groups of people that do such a great service to our community. They were kind enough to bring their cause to our neighborhood and got to know our vendors and patrons personally. It is so great to see this kind level for community involvement and see the support for these two departments.

The “Richmond Animal & Care Control” hosted a pet adoption event. They brought some very beautiful looking pups to see if they could find them some homes. The dogs were playful and in great spirits, they were incredibly well behaved and handsome animals. If you’re looking to adopt a pet they should be your first stop.

The “Richmond Police Department” brought some of their finest police officers to this event so they could get to know the northside community a little better. When we spoke to the officers in attendance they said that they wanted the members of this neighborhood to feel comfortable with calling the police if they ever feel that their safety is in danger or if they observe any unusual behavior. They also encourage the use of social media to reach out to them.

Rich’s Stitches was very happy to participate and get to know these wonderful people on a personal level, we feel very blessed to have participated in this event.
